The Big Garden Tour

The big jazz fundraiser garden tour was Saturday. Since this was sort of the climax for all our yardwork this summer, we also had Mom and Dad and U Henk and A Ruth over on Friday night, and then a whole group of friends and family over right after the tour. The tour itself lasted about an hour. A pianist came first with his digital keyboard and set up under the deck. The bus was late so a couple of folks came early by car but then the bus arrived with fifty or so half snockered tourists. They serve them beer on the bus (is that legal?) and then they get some food at each of the stops. It was really fun having a bunch of strangers (well, we knew a few of them, Paul and Kathy particularly) wander around the yard. What was most pleasing I guess was to get asked over and over, now you guys don’t do this all yourselves do you? Yes, we do. Yes, we do.

So now we can start to relax. Gabe took a whole bunch of pictures of Edensveil right after the tour when we were having the post tour party so as soon as I find out how to find them on flickr I will start posting a bunch of them up. Summer is here. Let the relaxing begin!
